The story

Welcome, wandering soul!

We are DTDA Games, a French creative studio devoted to guiding your mind on as many journeys as possible! We publish board games and artbooks, but we are also determined to explore every creative medium that sparks our imagination.

And this year we open with an extraordinary collection of puzzles, designed to captivate and engage the mind of every player. Get ready to be surprised as you dive into these intricate designs and take on this colourful challenge!

As always, Manon "Stripes" Potier let her imagination run free to create this series of 3 divine portraits. Exploring the theme of psychopomp deities, she created 3 visually stunning works of art which, we hope, will capture your attention and awaken your curiosity to explore and complete these puzzles.

The illustrations in this puzzle collection are meticulously hand-painted with coloured inks, adding an exquisite handcrafted touch to every piece.

To round off the experience, we put Sergio Matsumoto, our game designer, to work! Inside each puzzle box is a carefully designed mini-game to elevate the journey of your exploration.

Pyrophora Series I features three vibrant puzzles, each subtly designed to portray revered psychopomp deities from various cultural mythologies.

I - Amokye

Amokye, the revered goddess of the Akan tradition, gracefully guides the souls of the departed from the river to the sacred realm of Asamando, where they find eternal rest.

Amokye mini-game:
1 player - 10 minutes - 7+

Guide the souls and their bead offerings to the gates of Asamando by connecting tiles to create a path.

Hermes, illustration by Manon Potier

II - Hermes

In ancient Greek religion, Hermes is the divine guide and protector, leading the souls of the departed through the winding paths of the underworld and ensuring their safe passage to the realms of the afterlife.

Hermes mini-game:
2 players - 10 minutes - 7+

Guide your souls to their destination before the judge. Place your tiles face down to build the combination that will open a passage to the Elysian Fields.

Xolotl, illustration by Manon Potier

III - Xolotl

In Aztec mythology, Xolotl serves as the guiding force for the souls of the departed as they set out on a hard journey through the levels of Mictlan (the underworld), helping them through their difficult four-year passage from the first to the ninth level.

Xolotl mini-game:
1 player - 10 minutes - 7+

Guide the warriors’ souls through the 9 levels of Mictlan, the Aztec underworld. Lay down a line of tiles that, by the end of the game, must retrace Xolotl’s journey.
